A consistent student may become eligible for black belt in about four years. The usual path is about two years progressing through color belt ranks, followed by about two years of black belt testing. Timing depends on attendance, readiness, and instructor approval.

Master Jack Harvey opened his first Kuk Sool Won school in the St. Louis area in 1992.

The current St. Peters location opened in 1995 and remains the location serving students today.

Sa Bum Nim Jason Fisher is a 4th degree black belt instructor who began training in 1997 under Jack Harvey, who was a PSBN at that time. Jason is not described as a Master; Master rank begins at 5th degree.
